If you purchase our Organic Sugar Cookie Mix, you are about to eat the best tasting sugar cookies and it does not spread when baked.
If you purchase our Gluten-free Sugar Cookie Mix, please follow the same direction except, make sure you line baking sheets with parchment paper, and be very careful when taking out baked cookies out of the baking sheets since cookies are very delicate and do not have gluten to hold them together.
1 bag of Sweet Frosted Cookies Organic Sugar Cookie Mix
1/2 cup(110g) butter, cold
Preheat oven to 375 (190C).
The dough needs to be cold for easier rolling, as this helps the cookies keep their shape. Since you used cold butter, you can go ahead and start cutting your dough. But if the dough seems warm, wrap the dough in plastic wrap, press to form a disk, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or if in a hurry freeze for 30 mins.
In a large bowl, mix butter and egg beat at medium-high speed until light and creamy. Add the flour mixture and stir to incorporate.
If your dough seems crumbly, add 1 tablespoon of cold butter at a time, until the dough is no longer crumbly.
2. Put parchment paper on the bottom of the dough and on top of the dough. Roll the dough 1/8 to ¼ inch (3-6 mm) thick. Place the cookies on baking sheets ( Re-roll scraps and repeat).
3. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until lightly golden brown on the edges.
4. Let them cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets; remove and cool completely on wire rack.
